2017 Chairs:  Allison and Dr. Gary Nash

Allison and Dr. Gary Nash are excited to serve as chairs for Festival of Wines: Cocktails & Cuisine.  Both Allison and Gary are passionate about promoting heart health and supporting the fight against cardiovascular disease and stroke.  Allison is a native of Jackson, Mississippi.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Mississippi in 2007 and then went on to complete her Master of Science degree in Biology, Medical Sciences from Mississippi College in 2010.   Gary is a native of Greenwood, Mississippi.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Mississippi in 2005 and then completed his medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical center in 2009.  After medical school, Gary completed his internship at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham, Alabama and his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. in 2012.  Allison and Gary met on a blind date after college set up by a sorority sister of hers and a fellow medical student of his.  The two instantly hit it off and after dating for 4 years tied the knot in the bride’s hometown of Jackson in June of 2011.

Following residency, the couple moved to Greenville, North Carolina where Gary completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease from East Carolina University in 2015 and then to Little Rock, AR where Gary completed his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from UAMS in 2016.  Gary then joined the Arkansas Heart Hospital as an interventional cardiologist.  Allison works in interior design and worked for Little Rock native Ashley Childers of Emporium Home before launching her own company, Allison Nash Interiors. 

Thrilled to now call the natural state their home, Allison and Gary began looking for ways to support and get involved in the community and were introduced to the American Heart Association through the Arkansas Heart Hospital.  The couple is very excited to be chairing this year’s Festival of Wines: Cocktails & Cuisine and hopes to raise awareness and funding for research to help improve heart health and save lives.
